Veere Di Wedding (Shashanka Ghosh, 2018) – or the unbearable lightness of being without Fawad Khan

It’s shame they wasted 3 talented actresses (and one ‘okay’ actress if she gets a good director) in a film that was this disjointed. From the sound of it, this is nothing like Zindagi Na Mile Dobara though they kept mentioning it all the while in their promos. Perhaps they should have given it to Zoya Akhtar to direct. I was tired just reading your review. π And it’s a shame because I really was looking forward to it.
Yes, Anu, I went convinced I was going to give it a good review. That’s how much I liked Khoobsurat and Aisha. But … π¦ No script at all. What a shame.
Hehehe and phew that was a cardio-vascular read. ….. I thought Punjabis were a minority, except in Hindi films and the reference to Fawad Khan reminded me of an appropriate Milan Kundera line in “The Unbearable…”.
“Happiness is the longing for repetition.”
Oh yes, SSW, that’s right. Being in the middle of Hindi films and the Hindi film industry, I completely forgot that Punjabis are a minority! π
